Fashion Online Nightlife of Famous Model Katherine Heigl

In the video, she says she had been "dying to tell" the world that she was in talks to join the show for a couple of weeks. "I don't know how it happened myself," she says. "But I have not missed one episode of that show. I've watched every single fashion model thing, I love everything about it. And I love music, as you know."

DeGeneres joins returning judges Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi for the show's ninth season, premiering in January. She will continue her daytime show. On "Idol," DeGeneres replaces Paula Abdul, who left last month in a salary dispute. Producers recruited fashion online celebrities -- among them Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Joe Jonas and Shania Twain -- as guest judges during "Idol" audition rounds.

As for her own judging style, DeGeneres says it'll be from "the people's point of view."
"I'm not looking at it in a critical way," she says, "I'm looking at it as a nightlife person who's gonna buy the music and who's gonna relate to that person."

In a statement, "Idol" creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said DeGeneres "will bring a unique human famous models touch to our judging panel." Fox executive Mike Darnell added: "We feel that Ellen DeGeneres' vast entertainment experience -- combined with her quick wit and passion for music -- will add a fresh new energy to the show."

New addition
"Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl and her nightlife husband, musician Josh Kelley, are adopting a baby girl, a rep for Heigl confirmed to RadarOnline. The actress reportedly makes the announcement on Friday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." (!!!)

The adoption has been in the works for at least six months, RadarOnline said. Baby Nayleigh, who's about 10 months old, is from Frankie Rayder Korea, and her nickname will be Leigh, the site said. Heigl's sister Meg was adopted from Korea.

Heigl and Kelley's adoption plans shouldn't be a total surprise to fans. While promoting her hit comedy "Knocked Up" in 2007, Heigl told USA Today that she'd always planned to adopt. That film's intense birthing scene and being in the delivery room with sister only reinforced that plan.

"I'm done with the whole idea of having my own children. [It] doesn't seem like any fun. I don't think it's necessary to go through all of that," she told the paper. Last week, Entertainment Weekly reported that super top model Frankie Rayder was taking a five-episode leave of absence from "Grey's" to film the romantic comedy "Life as We Know It."
